Design and Development of Concrete Products

Concrete has long since evolved to become different types of “concrete products”, maturing from mere “concrete”. The current era of Technology, has contributed a lot towards understanding the potential of concrete and diversifying them into different kinds of products for various purposes.

ICOMAT, with hands on experience in the concrete industry and with academic expertise, intends to actively participate in the evolution of concrete by contributing to advancements in concrete research and development, and application.

High Performance Concrete increases durability and service life of the R.C.C Structures and is considered very essential for R.C.C Structures likely to be exposed to extreme environmental conditions like Chloride, Sulphate, Moisture ingress, Water Penetration, Carbonation attack, alternate wetting and drying, Freezing and Thawing, etc. Infra-Structure Projects are getting benefitted out of the development that has happened in High Performance Concrete Design, Development and application.

High strength concrete’s contribution in reducing the dead load coming on to the structure by optimizing the dimension of R.C.C elements as well as increasing the floor space has caught up with the industry immensely. This has lead to the increase in usage of M60 Grade and above in high rise buildings.

Apart from contributing to structures, concrete has taken a completely different “avatar” in the form of pervious concrete, colored concrete, stamped concrete, white concrete, etc.

In Situ testss are conducted to verify the strength of the concrete in the structural elements such as Footings, Rafts, Columns, Slabs, Beams, Walls, etc. The purpose of in-situ is to check the Quality and Intergrity of concrete, which is doubted for some reasons as well as a quality control process that verifies both the material and construction adequacy.

ICOMAT is equiped to conduct Rebound Hammer (RBH) Test, Ultrasonic Pulse Velociy (UPV) Test, Core test and Load Test as per BIS.
